Under Water, Over Land Challenge is the planet's premiere nature and
outdoors video production contest. A unique opportunity for
documentarians, planet Earth-lovers, extreme sports enthusiasts,
bird-watchers, sea-dwellers, and all aspiring outdoor film makers to

Well, every other month starting in February we'll give a topic
(examples might be mammals, macro, landscape, peaks and valleys,
etc.) and you'll be expected to produce a 2-3 minute video on the
topic.

course, to GET OUT THERE and to boldly take your camera where no
camera has gone before. Add to that having
your work judged by top film makers and becoming part of a

Three times winner, one time judge and all round uwol legend Per Johan from Norway has won the combined Uwol / Dvc charity challenge. For this outing the players and non-players a like donate to a pot, with the winner making his/her choice of a worthy organisation the final money should go to.
This year the total was an impressive $635 - Per had this to say about his very worthy chosen charity....
Hi all,
as promised here is my decision who will receive $635!
For me this has not been an easy task. In fact more difficult than making the entry for the Challenge! There is so many organizations out there which I care for, but I had to choose one of them. I also had a small conference with Lorinda and Meryem about this subject too!
Well, I will give the money to an small organisation in my country which work for preserving the Great 4 Predators in our fauna - Bear, Lynx, Wolverine and Wolf.
All these animals are more or less endangered species in our country. And without making political statement (which I know is prohibited at this forum), some people, organizations and authorities in my country wants to eliminate them from our fauna!
The organization is named "Foreningen Våre Rovdyr" website: Foreningen Våre Rovdyr - Forside (sorry in Norwegian Text Only!).
I will try to update this thread with more information and pictures later on when I meet them to present the price money.

Hi everyone and seasons greetings from UWOL.
The sign up period for the long form contest has begun, so its time to set your sights sky high and make that long film that has been buzzing around your head for the last few months.
You'll get up to a year to do it. Gets lots of critique along the way, get your film judged by a high profile film maker/s, oh and maybe just win a tasty prize package to boot!
